Vandaag gaan 23 Palestijnse asielzoekers hun maaltijd weigeren om hun rechten als asielzoeker aan te kaarten. Dit gebeurt verspreid over verschillende asielcentra in België; Charleroi, Poelkapelle, Langemark, Brugge, Eupen, Bierset, Tournai, Zaventem, Arlon.
90% van de Palestijnse asielzoekers is afkomstig uit de Gazastrook waar de leefomstandigheden vernietigend zijn. De asielprocedure blijkt hiermee geen of onvoldoende rekening te houden en mensen worden teruggestuurd.
Om dit onder de aandacht te brengen is via sociale media opgeroepen om dit aan te kaarten.

This Wednesday, October 2019, 23 several Palestinian Asylum seekers will refuse to eat during meal hours (12 am-13 pm and 18 pm-19 pm).
We are several Palestinians gathered around this action, our goal is to put pressure on the Belgian government to ask for our rights as asylum seekers
Indeed we see a great injustice in the processing of our files: Multiple reports of interviews, refusal of requests for incomprehensible reasons, very long waiting times before the 2nd interview at the CGRA,…
We are 90 % coming from Gaza, the rest comes from West Bank, Syria and Lebanon
As a reminder the situation in Gaza remains devastating and the situation is not better in the west bank, Syria and Lebanon
We ask:
– the acceleration of asylum procedures
– improving the living conditions of Asylum-seekers in reception centers
– the right to get a social housing after the first interview with the cgra
Wednesday 23 October we will stop eating during meal hours and we will share our requests
This action will take place in several reception centers for refugees at the same time, including those of:
Charleroi / Poelkapelle / Langemark / Brugge / Eupen / Bierset / Tournai / Zaventem / Arlon
